DAMN, that thing is heavy!
I went to move it into the unit and there is a one-inch curb. I could NOT get it up myself. I had to find someone to help for that one-inch curb because I was afraid I was going to rip one of the wheels off! Sure, it's a Snap On, guaranteed for life, etc... but I'm not real sure they'd cover ripping one of the wheels off trying to slam it up a curb!
I've found Craigslist ETC section and it's interesting. They've got all kinds of things there. Sperm donors, uh, paid sperm donors, that is. Condom testing. Assorted other surveys. I said all kinds of things and I meant all kinds of things.
I've applied to a bunch of different surveys and been accepted for two so far. One, for tomorrow night, is paying $100 for a two hours survey on tools: infrared thermometers. I use those all the time to check cooling systems and to check catalytic converters.
Another, for Friday, is paying $10 hour travel time and paperwork time, plus $25 hour for time spent in an MRI machine. They want to do some kind of neurological exam and I guess I qualify.
The first thing I do usually is to fill out online applications for the ones I think I might be interested in, then, if I fit their profile, they call me. I've got a couple more I think I might get, but, we'll see.
Meantime, I've applied for unemployment and I'm job hunting my ass off.
I'm also writing. For a while now I've wanted to write some of my experiences up for publication. Well, I'm doing it. Maybe only for publication here, such as "The Haunted House," but even that's a start. I'll publish more in the next few days, I hope. Maybe someday I'll make a collection of them or something. Hell, maybe I'll even get better at writing.
Anyway, things are really interesting right now.
It's like being on an adventure.
