I was going to tell Bill that I'm broker than he is, but...

I was just thinking that I ought to tell Bill that I'm broker than he is. You see, he's one of my homeless buddies.

Then his answer occurred to me.

"You know, Bill, I'm actually broker than you are, even though I have money in my pocket and in the bank."

"Oh yeah? How's that?"

"Why, all my debts of course. Think of it like this: How much money do you have if you have $10 and you owe $20?"

"$10. Fuck that other guy!"

I don't think Bill would actually say this, just to be sure.

I don't know that Bill would NOT actually say this either.

However, the fact is that this is all a figment of my imagination.

I haven't asked him yet.

I don't think I will now.
