If necessity is the mother of invention, who is the father?

I ask this because it's pretty important.

Obviously, there are lots of fathers, since there are lots of inventions, but who is one of the most common?

Well, I think laziness is the father of invention.

A person who would finish his job quicker so he can relax, can actually be quite creative!
