It was his first trip. I've made several, but, this was new.
We came in from the Pacific Ocean.
Park at the Waddell Creek / Big Basin parking lot on Highway 1 and go straight across the highway to the fire road and go.
It's about 6 miles each way, but one nice thing here is that you can ride your bike for the first 5 miles and there is a decent place to lock it up and walk the last mile to the falls.
Of course, that's to the first falls. There are two more good ones right upstream a ways, maybe a mile.
