Damn! What a lot of work. (Saturday evening)

Wednesday I went to The California Academy of Science.

Fantastic place!

I had a really great time and got some great film clips.

Then, problems hit!

I made this awesome movie, but, it wouldn't publish. It kept saying maybe there was not enough memory; I had about 70GB left out of a 250 GB hard drive, so that's not likely the problem! It also mentioned that maybe I moved the files, so put them back. That's not the problem either.

I tried over and over. I remade the movie. I cleared everything, reloaded it and remade the movie again! I tried clearing everything and reloading it and making an 'auto-movie.' That didn't work either. Same screen.

Oh, sometimes it published it, but the second half was not there. It was all black when I went to view it.

Finally, I got pissed off. I backed-up all my files and reinstalled my OS, (Windows Vista.) Got security immediately. Downloaded and installed well over 100 updates. Reinstalled my Windows movie maker, and bunches of my other programs, spent all day tweaking Windows and doing all this. I started about 9 am and it's almost 9 pm now.

Finally, it's about ready, but, I'm too tired tonight. At least I saved notes on which clips I used and how many seconds of each so I can duplicate my work without too much effort. (Said in humor after many hours of effort.)

Tomorrow I will try to finish my movie. I mean, if there's any program I need as much as my Windows Movie Maker, it would be MS Word or something. I really need my Movie Maker. What would I do for sanity if I couldn't make any movies?

I still don't have everything re-installed again, just the basics. I've got a long way to go. But, do you know what I do have?

I have 225 GB free space instead of about 70GB.
Think I've got enough memory now?

(Everything else is on my external hard-drive.)

I'll let you know in a day or two if I'm able to publish that. It's really good.

P.S. I've got some more stories for you too, although they are not written up yet.
Soon, though.
