Well, on the way up there I had to make it out to Sentinel Dome.
It's a short walk, about a mile and pretty mild, mostly.
With my hip hurting the way it was, I wasn't even sure if I should try it, but in the past it has sometimes worked to walk out the pain, so I figured I'd try.
I really wanted to hike something if I couldn't do the upper falls trail and this would be easy to quit if it wasn't working out.
The last 200 - 300 feet is a bitch!
Straight up a granite dome 200 - 300 feet tall.
But the view is awesome!
(I use that word a lot, don't I? But to quit I'd have to quit going to such awesome places wouldn't I? Or quit describing them at least, right?)
Anyways, for your enjoyment I now present, Jou, at Sentinel Dome...
(That's Yosemite valley in the background, looking back towards the tunnel, and El Capitan on the right.)
